JTeXperience 2018: Breaking the Silence on the top of Africa!

Josephat Torner Foundation Europe (JTFE) invites you to climb the Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain on the African continent. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and to demystify superstitions about albinism. JTFE envisions a safe and all-inclusive community wherein people with albinism in sub-Saharan African countries will enjoy their lives as full citizen of the society.

We reached the top of the Kilimanjaro on the 27th of September, 2018. We let ourselves be heard on the top of Africa! We hope to be heading up again in the near future.

Not only are we raising awareness with this project, we also aim at raising funds for grassroots advocacy activities and lobbying at the decision-making levels of the government. The funds will also be utilized to provide children with albinism with quality education as an investment for the future.  Education forms the building blocks of one’s life to be self-supportive, and those well educated will become role models for generations to come. People with albinism being succesful role models is of great importance to change the mind-set of the community.

Let us bring our mission to the top of Africa to represent the voice of the voiceless!
